Ugadi Puraskar:
GITA is presenting the first ever ‘Ugadi Puraskaralu’ and the well deserving winners will be announced and honored during the GITA Ugadi event.
Performances by Local Talent:
GITA Sankranthi Celebrations gave us an opportunity to witness the amazing performances by our local talent. In order to encourage and appreciate the talented young children and adults of our Telugu comm unity, GITA would like to continue the tradition of presenting items by our local talent.
As such, GITA Cultural committee is seeking entries from prospective participants, both children and adults for various cultural activities. - Ugadi event has several activities planned with a limited time slots allocated for each event.
- As such, GITA is only seeking entries for group participation with groups of 4 or more participants.
The items may include but not limited to the following: - Dance items (Tollywood, Bollywood and Indian Classical etc.)
- Songs (Tollywood, Bollywood and Indian Classical etc.)
- Comedy Skits
- Perform musical instrument
- Dialogue Delivery, preferably in Telugu.
- Youth Comedy skits (English and/or Telugu).
All entries should be submitted to GITA Cultural Committee @

no later than April 8th, 2012along with the following details: - Name(s) of the participants
- Name of the item with a brief description
- Name of the Coordinator
- Contact Details for the Coordinator
GITA Cultural committee will review all the entries received and communicate with the coordinator with any questions they may have or with a confirmation of the entry. We are expecting a great turnaround for this event so we encourage you to send in your entries as soon as possible to avoid any delays in processing.
- Limited time slot is allocated for the cultural activities, so, all the items are considered on a first come first serve basis.
- If the pre-allocated items slots are filled up sooner, GITA may decide to close entry date sooner.
- As such, we strongly encourage the item coordinators to send in their entries as soon as possible.
 More details regarding the event will be shared in the coming days.
