Greetings!

The bailout, the debates, the elections, the economy - there is a lot of Dhamaka news all around. In this hordes of gloom and doom news - it is but important to find celebration in every which way we can find it. What better way to celebrate can one find, than with friends and family on a glittering evening on the occassion of Deepavali.
Deepavali Dhamaka 2008 is on Saturday, Novermber 8th 2008. If you have not yet seen the last email, I have it below for your convenience.
In my last email, we have invited people to signup for any performing on the Dhamaka stage, the Cultural committee has already been getting "e-mails of intent" to perform on the stage. But wait we have something more compelling, To know more, read on.....
Deepavali Celebration Details
Deepak
To add extra glitter and energy to the Dhamaka, we are inviting a team of professional performers from around the country to indulge us in the celebrations. As promised the best composition of entertainment is what we want to bring to our community.
For a change how about if we tell you that these professionals may perform LIVE for your performance. Now that is what I call "raising the bar" of celebration.
So for the performers who normally depend on their mp3 players or CDs for the music, this will be a surreal opportunity to perform with professionals on the Dhamaka stage. If you are already thinking of the music or song you want to dance for - why wait!!!! send us your entry and the song - we will try to confirm if it can be a joint performance.
However, as per our commitment to encourage local talent, we encourage children, youth and adults alike to participate and perform on the occassion. Like the Sankranti or Ugadi celebrations, we would want you to form Groups and have a Group Coordinator to contact us immediately.
  • Preference will be given to groups of 3 or more.
  • A total time of 60 minutes will be allotted to groups of children under 12 years of age.
We request your cooperation and understanding in this regard.
